Officer Suffered Scrapes In Scuffle; Teen OK.

Hartland police said they used a Taser on a student with special needs after an incident on a school bus.

The chief of police told 12 News one of his officers was flagged down by a bus driver at Chestnut Ridge Drive on Wednesday.

The chief said when the driver opened the door for the officer, the teen pushed the driver off the bus and charged the officer.

A struggle began, and the officer fired his Taser three times.

The boy’s father told 12 News over the phone his son has autism and is nonverbal.

The boy was taken to a hospital as a precaution but is OK.

The officer had scrapes on his face.
