Police in Fort Worth are to get TASER AXON on-body cameras – increasing from 200 to 600 units, making the police department the largest user of the Axon cameras in the country. The advantages (according to the Police): Checking on police conduct, real-time information for crime investigators and handling citizens’ complaints. A police union leader recognises the officer, community, and victims of crimes have rights and privacy concerns that cannot be discarded in the quest for transparency – obviously the officers in particular, adding that “officers police more professionally on tape. They’re so much more patient and caring and giving” (?)
